The owners of this rambler in Bethesda had almost enough space, but the layout didn't fit their needs. A seamless addition matching the existing home transformed their standard primary suite into one with a foyer, a dressing room, and a larger bathroom fit for two. Other changes to the main floor were made to create a more party-friendly configuration and better privacy for the bedroom zone.
Meanwhile, in the large basement, the addition of egress windows added a bedroom and natural light. Savvy Design Studio also coordinated extensive stormwater management and waterproofing of the new and existing foundations, future-proofing the clients' investment.
