Main Floor Reconfiguration

More and more  homeowners are adapting their homes as they age, or for their aging parents. This home in Montgomery Village had a traditional colonial layout on the first floor, which needed to be adapted to include an accessible main floor primary bedroom suite. The homeowners used the opportunity to open up the remaining area of the floor plan and upgrade the living spaces as well. The design makes their living spaces feel even larger, despite giving up area for the in-laws.
